Step 1: choose B1/B2 only if the purpose is temporary

The officer may ask about the purpose of travel, length of stay, who pays, employment or business in the UAE, family in the United States, travel history and previous refusals. Do not memorize a speech; the goal is a credible temporary-visit explanation.

Three outcomes matter for your timeline. Second, the officer may require administrative processing and will inform you if that applies. Third, the case may end in a visa refusal. A refusal is not solved by reapplying with the same unclear facts; the next application should address the weakness that led to the decision.
